2026 Action: World Diabetes Day

November 14: join the movement for public insulin production

Insulin has existed for over a century

Three multinational manufacturers control nearly the entire global market. Their decisions determine who can get insulin and who goes without.

Access to insulin is a human right. It should never depend on the business priorities of three companies.

Public Pharma

Our Public Pharma Working Group, a team of volunteer researchers, spent 2026 studying what it would take to make insulin production public. Their Policy Report lays out the findings and presents public pharma as a serious policy solution.

Four ways to take action:

A campaign with history:

T1International and the Pendsey Trust launched #insulin4all in 2014, ahead of World Diabetes Day, to reclaim the day as a call for a better world for people living with diabetes, wherever they live. Twelve years later, advocates around the world continue to carry that call forward.
