Campaigns:
Washington #insulin4all chapter logo

T1International’s Washington #insulin4all Chapter brings together people living with diabetes, caregivers, and advocates working to raise awareness about insulin affordability and build community-driven solutions.

The chapter creates opportunities for people affected by the insulin affordability crisis to connect, share their experiences, and take action together. Through grassroots organizing, public demonstrations, and community outreach, Washington #insulin4all helps make the voices of people with diabetes visible and heard.

What We’re Working On

Washington #insulin4all is focused on building a strong community of advocates and creating opportunities for people to take action.

The chapter has organized and participated in protests, public actions, and awareness events to highlight the impact of high insulin prices and demand meaningful change. By bringing people together and organizing protests and public actions focused on insulin affordability, they are creating visible moments of advocacy, the chapter helps keep insulin affordability at the center of public conversations.

Who leads this group

Jenny, Chapter Leader

Jenny began her journey in 2007 when she was diagnosed with diabetes. Her mom has T2D and two of her cousins have T1D. Jenny knows what it’s like to ration medication due to systemic barriers. Now, she is pursuing her PhD in nursing at UW. Her goal is to enhance health equity by creating change. Jenny believes that diabetes is a common and natural variation of the human condition. It’s not a problem to be overcome through lifestyle changes, nor is it a condition to be financially exploited. As chapter leader, she hopes to collaborate, build cross-solidarity, and pursue insulin4all.
